Fictions to Filming

Here I am finishing up Sundance Film Festival 2019, with new opportunities on the rise and many more leaps and bounds to pursue.

Maybe I should start off by why I started this good old fashioned blog to get these thoughts on record and try to present a path for any other wandering people that may stray down with me. I am a artist, a writer, a novelist, a moviegoer, a scriptwriter, a history glutton, a filmmaker, a blogger, a photographer, a concept artist, a art director, a philosopher, a dreamer, a lazy ass, and a music obsessor. I am all of these things at all time and these things have lead me to love and dream and create film and animation the way I believe it can be made. It has been my clumsy pursuit to find myself closer to film every day after recovering a degree in animation two years ago, as of this coming spring.

I had thought that my climb upward would have taken me higher by now, but obviously my 180 into film and film production. I did all this stupidity after taking no formal classes, not really knowing how a camera works, and realizing that no matter what I do I will not choose to work in the main stream animation pipeline ever. It is nothing against the people or the places, merely a chose knowing where I am happiest and where I feel most at home.

I want the struggle and the sweat, the uncertainty and the buzz of filming, being on set and cultivating a production I can be proud of. I am proud of my current situation even if I am only just covering my loan payments.
